In Remembrance: Alexander Thomas Ovenshine ’58 Died on June 2 2018

Alexander Thomas Ovenshine passed away on June 2, 2018, at the age of 82. Ovenshine was extremely passionate about geology— working with the USGS in Menlo Park where he was named the branch chief of Alaska in 1976. Ovenshine eventually moved to Virginia and later in life would and travel to Japan, China, and the Middle East to spread awareness about the importance of geology as a field of study.
