In Remembrance: Ted Achilles ’58 Died on August 21 2018

Ted Achilles passed away on August 21, 2018, at the age of 82. After graduating from Yale College in 1958, Achilles served as an Army Ranger and then a bank officer for the next two decades. After the United States invasion of Afghanistan, however, Achilles moved to Afghanistan where he eventually found himself working to create the School of Leadership Afghanistan (also known as SOLA) which provided education for girls mostly living in rural areas. Achilles is survived by his five children, and 11 grandchildren.
