In Remembrance: Jim Chud ’80 Died on March 6 2019

Jim Chud, who started at Yale with the Class of ’79 and graduated in 1980, died in early March 2019 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He was 62. He was one of the first persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in the United States, and also one of the longest-surviving AIDS patients when he died, having dealt with the disease for more than 40 years.

A long tribute to Chud, which details his journey and battle against AIDS, was published in March on WeHoVille.com, the news venue covering West Hollywood, California.
