In Remembrance: Donald J. Scherl ’57 Died on June 26 2019

Donald J. Scherl passed away on June 26th, 2019. After graduating from Yale College in 1957, Scherl went on to pursue his medical degree at Harvard University. During his career, Scherl served as President of the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center where he worked from 1981 until his retirement in 1993. In his free time, Scherl enjoyed listening to classical music, especially the San Francisco Symphony.
