Kerrebrock began his career at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before becoming a full professor at MIT in 1965. In 1978, Kerrebrock became the head of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In his free time, Kerrebrock loved spending time outdoors and hiking.
