In Remembrance: David Brion Davis ’70MAH Died on April 14 2019

David Brion Davis passed away on April 14th, 2019. Davis was a highly esteemed professor of slavery. He began teaching at Yale in 1970, and was awarded the University's highest honor of Sterling professorship in 1978. Professor Davis wrote and edited 16 books and during his lifetime. In 2014, President Barack Obama awarded Davis with a National Humanities Medal for his work.
