So sad to learn that Harold has gone ...
Such nice memories AT Monta Santa gustina in Asolo....Never forget you...have a RIP and prayer from me to GOD for You. Philippe.
In 1986 I met Harold in Asolo with friends. We'd been invited to have drinks on his porch. We talked for hours and he was a joy. He knew something about everything and he never seemed tired or bored with our questions or American naivete.
The Four-O-Clocks opened while we sat talking and it was a very special time. Almost 40 years later and I still remember this generous, and kind man with his warmth and wisdom.
How very fortunate we were to meet him.
