In Remembrance: James Dowaliby II ’67MD Died on October 5 2022

James M. Dowaliby II passed away on October 5, 2022, at the age of 93. Coming late to the field of medicine after a business career, he graduated Yale Medical School at the age of 38 and remained in New Haven thereafter, on staff at Yale New Haven and St. Raphael's Hospitals and as a voluntary member of the med school faculty for 37 years.  

Dowaliby was ten years older than most of his classmates at the med school, but was universally loved by them and served as class president for two years and reunion chair for many years.
