Tignor ’60 Died on May 9 2024Gregory Tignor, professor emeritus of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, died peacefully on May 9, 2024, at his home in Hamden, Connecticut. At Yale, where his research focused on the identification, characterization, and pathogenesis of zoonotic viruses that cause encephalitis in humans, he was an integral member of the Yale Arborvirus Research Unit (YARU), eventually serving as deputy director.
