She was born in Madrid, Spain, to the late Antonio and Pilar Regalado, and moved to the US following the Spanish Civil War. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and received a PhD in Spanish literature from Yale. A full obituary was published in the Hartford Courant on September 12, 2013. |
