O’Brien, a Jesuit priest for five decades and a psychiatrist who taught at Georgetown University for more than 25 years, died July 31 at the age of 87. In 2000, he returned to Washington and worked as a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at Georgetown Medical Center until his retirement in 2011. He also worked as a professor at Catholic University’s Theological College from 2000 until 2007. A full obituary appeared in the Washington Post on August 23, 2013. |
