George Russell died peacefully at his home in Rye, New York, on August 11, 2013. At Yale, he received the Mead Cup from Berkeley College. A member of the American Yacht Club for nearly forty years, he served on the club’s race committee for over 29 years, for which he was twice awarded the Mallory Cup for Race Committee Service. The Journal News published his obituary on September 3 and 4, 2013. |
