Nelson Asiel, a third-generation leader of the Wall Street brokerage firm Asiel and Company, passed away on August 5, 2013 at the age of 96. Following his graduation from Yale Law School in 1942, Asiel worked at the law firm Simpson, Thatcher and Bartlett for ten years and then went on to join the senior management of Asiel and Company, which later merged with Tradition (NA) Inc. He retired at age 90, with over 50 years of experience in one of Wall Street's oldest brokerage firms. Full obituaries appeared in the New York Times and in Bloomberg on August 7, 2013. |
