After graduating from Yale College, he attained a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons. He was a professor of medicine at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in LaJolla, California, MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the Section Chief of the Endocrinology Department at the Medical College of Georgia in Goergia. He was also professor emeritus, trustee, and president of the U.S. Pharmacopoeia. The Augusta Chronicle published his obituary on October 17, 2013. |
