He served as a captain in the Marines during World War II, and was wounded at Guadalcanal. After admittance to the Georgia Bar in 1948, he practiced law in Atlanta and Savannah until his retirement in 1995. A full obituary was published in the Savannah Morning News on July 21, 2013. |
