Glee Club returns to touring
In March, the Yale Glee Club will embark on its first international tour since before the pandemic and its first-ever concert tour to Kenya. Highlights of this historic trip include collaborations with the Art of Music Foundation, Kenyatta University, the Coast Chorale of Mombasa, the Aga Khan Academy, and the Nairobi Chamber Chorus.
Updated Yale College outcomes now available
The Office of Career Strategy (OCS) has added the Class of 2017 Four-Year Data to the outcomes visualization tool, an interactive tool that includes five years of Yale College alumni data sortable by major. Considering the five years together: Google is the top employer four years after graduation; technology is the top industry; Yale graduates live in 48 states; a JD is the most popular advanced degree. For the Class of 2017, the mean salary is $110,812 four years after graduation.
Yale College receives top ranking for veterans
In September 2022, US News and World Report ranked Yale College #1 for veterans. Schools included in this category needed to be certified for the GI Bill and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program or be a public school. In addition, Yale College has seen considerable growth in undergraduate veteran enrollment in recent years, increasing from six who were enrolled in 2015–16 to 36 who are currently enrolled—one of them as a traditional undergraduate, three as transfer students, and 32 through the Eli Whitney Students Program.
