Throwback Thursday: victory dogs

Seventy years ago tomorrow, Japan announced its surrender in World War II, and, as documented in our October 1945 issue, the campus celebrated: “On the Old Campus the Army men had a picnic supper and hot dog roast. Later they danced and sang to a sixteen-piece orchestra. The USO supplied hostesses.”
