Teaching assistants in nine Yale graduate-school departments vote today on whether to be represented by a union; it’s the first NLRB-sanctioned election in the 25-year history of the TA unionization effort at Yale. Polling is currently taking place at Dwight Hall (pictured) and Founders Hall on Prospect Street. The university has filed a request for review of the NLRB decision that allowed students to organize in “microunits” by academic department.
