Celebrating writers

Poet and former Yale professor Elizabeth Alexander ’84 gave the keynote address (“Why I Write”) yesterday in Sprague Hall to kick off the Windham-Campbell Prize Festival. Eight writers were awarded the $165,000 prize; they'll participate in talks and readings over the next two days.
