Rock star

Pioneering Yale scientist Benjamin Silliman may now be best known on campus as the inspiration for the name of Silliman College. But to find his statue, you have to climb Science Hill to Sterling Chemistry Lab. The rock in his hand indicates his interest in geology, not a propensity for throwing stones.
