West facade of Warner House at Hillhouse Ave. 01. Built 1888 as Cloister Hall for Book and Snake. Members who lived in the society residence, or "Cloister," became the Cloister Club. During the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic this Sheff fraternity dormitory served as Yale’s emergency hospital. Gifted to Yale in 1933. Renovated in 2001 to be the Yale Provost's office.
