Mystery Monday: where was Sloane?

Before Sloane Physics Lab on Science Hill, there was another building by that name on campus. Where is this carving that commemorates its former location?

<> Jonathan Edwards College. Interior courtyard. Near the northwest corner <> One problem: The old photo of the old Sloane Physics Lab shows its footprint corresponds to the Wheelock Hall section of JE built in 1925 on Library Street, facing Branford College/Harkness Quad ...The present Sloane Physics Lab was built in 1912. Therefore the old Sloane lab must have been demolished before 1925. Can anyone confirm this deduction?

<> Now I see a map of the 1912 Yale Campus that shows the old Sloane Physical Laboratory sited on Library Street MIDWAY between High St and York St, leaving room for Wheelock Hall at the intersection of Library Walk and York St.
